  • Affects young branches and pinkish outgrowth are seen on the surface.
  • Further penetrates bark and grows inside and subsequently enters the cortex.
  • Due to interuption of flow of nutrients, leaves become yellow.
  • The bark splits and peals off. If the infection in not recognized early the tree dies after the rainy season.
