Quick wilt symptom (Black water soaked lesions on upper surface of leaf)

  • Black coloured water soaked lesions appear on the upper surface of leaf.
  • Spots enlarge in size and cover the entire surface and produces concentric lesions.
  • Dieback : Pathogen affects the young branches and causes drying of branches from tip downwards and exhibits dieback symptom.
  • Foot rot / Collar rot : Blackening of collar region.
  • Root rot : Infection starts from the main roots or on the feeder roots. Progresses from the feeder root to the lateral roots and finally to the main roots. The root is weakened leading to the death of the vine.
